Ghost Touching on iPad
Hello! I recently purchased a 2nd Generation Square Stand compatible with 10th gen Apple iPads.
For some reason whenever I attempt to touch one part of the screen it touches somewhere completely different! All equipment is brand new including the iPad. Eventually i was sick of it and released the Clip on the 2nd Generation Stand of Square and the iPad started to work a bit better.
In addition to this I noticed the iPad itself would remain locked at all times. The lock button sits on the top of the iPad but when installed into the Square stand it rest on its left. [horizontally] The lock button itself is being pushed down by the iPad. I believe this may be a flaw design.
Hoping square can reach out and resolve this! I really need some help to continue using my POS without any issues

@bastiant12 You should go into settings and tell the ipad to never turn off the display, but I am pretty sure that will solve that problem. I would make sure you don't have anything blocking and that the ipad is fully inserted. It sounds like 1 of 2 things. 1. Let me ask did you get your hardware from square or did you piece it locally? Let me know your ipad model number and I am just verifying your stand is USB-C.
2. It is possible to get a defective stand. I have several and have no problems whatsoever. The ghost touching sounds like screen flex from not fitting properly in the stand.
For the record, there was a 2nd gen stand that worked with 9th gen ipads with a lightning connecter and those are very different. I don't think there was a 9th gen usb-c, at least I haven't looked at it.

Hey Donnie!
thanks for responding to the my thread. I purchased my hardware directly from square. As for the iPad I got it from Costco. Everything is brand new in fact!
im using a 10th gen iPad. I can send some photos of the set up and I can attempt to attach a video. The screen itself glitches and it ghost touches random parts of the screen

@bastiant12 I am also assuming the ipad works fine out of the stand? Inconvenient to say the least, but square is really really good about hardware exchange once they walk you through a few steps. I generally always buy from square because you only save a dollar or 2 somewhere else, but they have always been easy to work with. Still is inconvenient when you just want something to work, but they stood behind their stuff for me.
