Im trying to set up a new account, and when it gets to EIN information, i enter my company name that is printed on my confirmation, Ive also tried just entering my personal name as its also listed on the paperwork.
Still just get a red pop up that says ein doesnt match.
Hey! Thanks for posting and I'm really sorry to hear you've had trouble adding your EIN to your account. I would recommend trying again as it looks like on Saturday the IRS's EIN/TIN matching system was down, leaving us unable to verify it on our end as well.
If you are still receiving the same error, please try these steps below:
If even after that you are still experiencing issues updating your taxpayer information, please let me know and also get an SS4 from the IRS. SS4 is the name of the letter that the IRS sends when assigning an EIN. If you’re unable to locate your EIN, visit the IRS website and search “Lost or Misplaced Your EIN?”.

I am using the information exactly as it appears on my SS-4 form issued from the online registration at the IRS and it still says Does Not Match.
Super strange @Jayverni - Reach out to CS with your ss4, an advocate can forward it to the tax team and help update your taxpayer info.
