Dark Mode Removed from POS

We recently updated our Square for Restaurants system with the beta program to run preauthorization bar tabs. However, when our POS reset it switched to light mode. I have closed out the app and gone back in, gone to the dashboard and toggled modes to light and back to dark, but no matter what the screen will not return to dark mode. Please help, as it is way too bright and it previously worked in dark mode without issue.

Hi @AcadianPOS ! On iOS, it depends on what your iPad's system theme is set to. To enable Dark Mode on your iPad, go to Settings > Display & Brightness and select "Dark." Let me know if that helps!

Howdy @Headpinz and @codyoher! Could you both email me a video of you toggling to dark mode and it still remaining in light mode? Please send it to betafeedback@squareup.com. Also, can you confirm that your iOS devices are fully up to date?

Davonte, I just signed up with Square for Restaurants and can confirm dark mode is no where to be found. This is on a 10.9 Ipad with the new stand. I also don't have an option in checkout for "Appearance".  Did they take this feature away? It's much needed IMO.

We have our iPad set to light mode but the customer screen (after card payment) is always dark and guests cannot read the screen in sunlight. Did we miss something in setup on this new system or is this the unchangeable default?

I have a Square POS system, and after the last update the screen on my side when it says what changed to give is just black and white, which is very hard for me to read. How do I go back to the old view? I cannot find any toggles or controls related to screen colors.
