Contactless Payments

Hi,

 

I downloaded Square in order to take contactless payments through my phone for my business. 

However, once Iโ€™ve set up the account and downloaded the POS app, I do not have the ability to take the phone payments. On the settings>account, there isnโ€™t an option to enable the payments. 

I have the correct iOS so not sure where to go from here

I'd be happy to help - it sounds like you are looking for Tap to Pay for iOS, is that right? 

 

There are a few different steps to check here here:                                                                                                                                                                                          

  • Make sure your iPhone is running iOS 16.4 or higher. To check if your software is up to date, go to Settings > General > Software Update

  • If you havenโ€™t already, set a passcode for your iPhone by going to Settings > Face ID & Passcode. Tap to Pay on iPhone requires a device passcode.

 

In your Square POS app:

  1. From the navigation bar at the bottom of your screen, tap โ‰ก More.

  2. Tap Settings > Account.

  3. Select Tap to Pay on iPhone > toggle Tap to Pay on iPhone on.

  4. Verify the correct Apple ID is shown. If not, choose Use a Different Apple ID.

  5. Select Agree & Continue to toggle Tap to Pay on iPhone on.

If you still can't see these settings, can you confirm the colour of the Point of Sale app you downloaded and also your device model?
