Can't add category page to navigation menu

Hello, I am trying to add a category page as a sub-navigation link, however, category page no longer appears in the drop-down list. 

 

We have been able to add category pages as sub navigation links before but now it is no longer an option.

 

Has this been removed or is there an error?

Hi @BHWATH just following up on this. 

 

Category pages are only intended to function with the Shop All template (suited for Retail businesses) 

 

Your current template is Online Order (suited for Restaurants). It seems that you may have added your three current category pages while using the Shop All template and then switched to Online Order later, which is why you can't create more. 

 

When I was testing this, all my category pages I created in Shop All did carry over to my Order Online template, so technically you could go back to Shop All, create your pages and then switch back to Order Online. 

 

To switch templates: (Square Online overview > Website > Edit Site). Click the Pages drop-down in top left-hand corner, find the Category Pages section, click the three dots, then select Switch template.

I don't believe there have been any changes. Can you send a screenshot of where you are trying to set this up within the site editor? It will make it easier for me to test out on my own account if I have something to replicate, thanks! I'll keep an eye out for your response.

The following sub navigation links that are already there under 'order now' are category pages, so not sure why I can't add more:

 

Tubular Heaters

Heater Guards

Heater Accessories

Thanks for the screenshots @BHWATH, that does seem strange. 

 

I tested it out on my own account and I was able to continue adding Category pages, there doesn't seem to be a limit. 

 

I'm going to reach out to our Square Online to see if they can provide some insight here, I'll let you know as soon as I have an update.

Hi, I've got the same problem - I've lost all my categories because I removed Shop All section and now I cannot add any categories - that feature doesn't work...
