Why are there no notifications to staff regarding new/ open shifts that need filling?

I am new to square scheduling an am extremely surprised and disappointed to learn that there is no way to send employees a notification that there is a new/ open shift available, whether that be posted by me or by another team mate. Instead they have to be checking the schedule to go through each week and see if there’s one open? This is incredibly tedious. When will this feature be implemented? It is very basic and every scheduling app I’ve used has had it.
