The way tip pooling works in Square is quite sloppy. You can't give a percentage of the daily tips to two different job roles without merging those roles into one ("Bartender/Cook" instead of two separate "Bartender" and "Cook" roles). Thus, you end up with a very sloppy Schedule because you have jobs merged into one role. Kind of silly.
You should be able to add MULTIPLE jobs to one percentage of the tip pool.
For example:
Bartenders and Cooks (two separate jobs) get 80% of the pool for any given day based on hours worked.
Bussers get 20% of the pool for any given day based on hours worked.
The reason this matters is because if you have 3 Cooks working and 2 Bartenders working on the same day, giving them each 40% (totaling 80%) of the pool does not equate to the same equal pay.
Would be great if I didn't need to rely on yet another third-party app for something that Square should have figured out to begin with.
