Team App - Employee with multiple employers that all use Square

I have an employee who has 2 current and one past job, all that use Square Payroll.  She has previously signed into the Team app with the code from one of these jobs, but now would like to view the other jobs with the app.  We don't see any location in the app to input the code or change the employer that she is viewing.  How can she view multiple jobs in the app, is it possible?  Or switch which employers she is viewing?

 

TO clarify:  we are talking about multiple employers who pay with Square, not an employee who has more than one job title at the same employer.

I’m pretty sure that there’s nothing major that you have to do — the employee will have the options.

 

If you add that employee to your payroll using the same email address that they used at another square payroll employer, as far as I know, when the employee logs in they either will choose the location that they want to view payroll for, or it will just show them all their payroll info combined. 


Have they tried it? What do they see in the team app?

No, it's still only showing the data for the first job that she activated the app for.

 

We've tried deleting and re-installing the app, with no change.  

 

On my side, for the payroll, it shows that he did not activate her code/email.

@straycat If it shows that they haven’t activated it, then that’s it. Resend the invitation and/or have them double check their email and look for the activation. 

Once they activate it for your business then it should work for them.

No, that doesn't work.  If they try to use the code to activate it, they get an error message that the email address already has an account.

 

I have also installed the app myself and have the same issue -- I have an old account that my email address is attached to, and that shows, but I am not able to view other accounts.  

 

So, unless someone has a fix or idea, it looks like employees have to have different email addresses for each separate employer they have... I just found it odd that I didn't find this issue for other people.  I suspect that many employees have multiple jobs, and Square is a popular platform.

When they open the email, is there a place for Sign In rather than just creating a new account? 

Can you send a screenshot of the page when they open link in the email?

 

Maybe if they sign into square on a web browser first, and then click the link in the email?

Tried both of those.

 

1.  If they click the link in the email to create an account, it says that the email address already has an account.

 

2.  If they sign into the account on either the app or the web site, it shows the existing (previous) employer, not the new one.

 

I do not see any visible places to enter the code, and I've gone through all of the options (such as profile, etc) looking for options.

 

That employee has gone home for the day, but I have another employee that can provide the screenshots.  I'll see what I can show.

Hello @rschmitt 👋

 

We have the Launchpad now, which allows users with multiple accounts under the same email to select the account they want to manage. 

 

This will only work if they have been able to activate their account as staff members at your business. 

 

Have your employees activated their accounts as staff members?
