Team App Bugs

Greetings,

 

One of my employees sent the two screen shots below showing a couple of bugs in the Team App.  The bugs are:

 

  1. Circled items marked 1 & 2 should not be equal.  Currently this shot shows that their YTD earnings are the same as their last pay stub.  If you look at circled item 4 in the second screen shot, you’ll see that the last pay stub was only $54.09 earnings.
  2. Circled item 3 = “ ”. The app is not interpreting and replacing HTML code for non-breaking space.

Obviously, this is not critical but still they are bugs to report!

I will reach out to the team that owns the Square Team App and have them take a look at this. I'll return with an update once I have one. Appreciate your patience in the meantime 🙏

Thanks, @_Violet.  I need to add one more recent bug, I think.  It used to be that once we opened Display Settings and checked the box to show all team members, that setting persisted even after closing the app.  Since the last update, if we want to see all team members’ schedules, we have to reopen display settings and check that box again.  It gets annoying fast, since we always want to see all schedules!

Hi there again, @TheRealChipA - Thanks for your patience here.

I received a reply from someone on the Product Development team for the Team App. They let me know that this issue was resolved on Wednesday. 

Are you still experiencing any issues at this time?

@_Violet For the first bug report about the pay stub inconsistencies, etc, I will check with my employee tonight and let you know.

 

I can say that the second bug I reported in a follow-up reply here (about “show all team members” unchecking itself when leaving the app and reopening it) is still occurring.  That setting just will not stay “sticky.”

 

You said Wednesday?  The latest version I see in the Apple App Store is 6.1.2 which says it was released a week ago.  Not sure if that is the version you are referring to or not.

@TheRealChipA - Hmm...they didn't mention anything about you needing to update the app. I'll have to ask them to confirm whether or not the fix was released in a new version of the app.

For the second issue, they let me know "that’s somewhat to be expected. If the Seller doesn’t force quit the app, it’ll stay checked for longer".

Actually, it makes sense that the first bug reported was a server-side issue.  I didn’t think of that.  I’ll follow up after my next shift comes on.
