Scrolling when logging into dashbord

Tech support was zero help.

 

I can log in just fine. I can see the dashboard link. 

 

Once I hit the link for my dashboard, nothing but scrolling.

 

Any thoughts?

Hi @JohnChime.. So, as they say, a picture is worth a thousand words.  You say "I can see the dashboard link."  When I sign in, I'm taken straight to the dashboard.  I need to see this link you reference, so please post a screen shot.

 

Also, when you say "nothing but scrolling," that is also confusing.  You mean the dashboard home page starts scrolling on its own and won't stop?  or something else.  Again, a picture of what you see after you hit the link would be helpful.  There's just not enough in your OP to go on.  After I get more info, I should be able to help.

Fair question!

 

I can login. I can click the link to take me to the dashboard. After that it just doesn't go any further. I'll try to add a screen shot. I have cleared my history, cache files, cookies, restarted

@JohnChime Weird.  Thanks for that! So I'm think some sort of browser issues.  Try these things.

 

  1. Try a different device and/or browser, if you can.
  2. If you can't do that, or if #1 works for you, go back to your original device and clear the cache and cookies.  Then try again.

Let's see what that does for you.  That usually works for most dashboard issues.

@JohnChime Oh, well.  It was worth a try.  So I'm going to tag the Square moderators here to help with the permanent solution.

As you can see in the screenshot the @JohnChime provided above, when he gets to the web dashboard the "circle of death" is as far as he can get.  He's tried clearing his web browser and cache, at my direction, and that did not help.  He tried another browser with the same result.  Support isn't a bit of help, so I'm hoping one of you can get with the product team?

 

Otherwise, John, since you mentioned payroll..... Have you installed the Dashboard App (Android or iOS) on your phone, yet?  If not, do so.  You can actually run payroll from that.  It will take a little time to get used to the smaller interface, but otherwise it works.  I've used it over a year now (even beta tested it) and use it every week instead of the web browser.  Besides payroll, it is a great app for other things and the team is actively working on more bells and whistles.
