Sales Comissions

Hello,

We have our first staff working today with sales commissions both are set to 10% but when I go to the Team Sales report its showing $0 on commissions for $30 in gross sales. Any ideas why? This was setup a week ago.

Thanks,

JT

@ReefersColorado the issue is that Commissions don't apply to "Custom amount"

Rather, what you want to do is set these up as items without a price (it's show the price as "Variable"). Then you can select the item during checkout and enter the price. So you can still have a custom price each time, but we'll recognize it as an Item or a Service and apply the commission appropriately.

Thanks!

Hi @ReefersColorado.  I can think of one possibility, assuming that your commission structure is set up correctly.  Is it possible that the team members closed those transactions under another team member’s number on the POS?  Commissions are attributed to the team member who completes the sale, only.

I was thinking that too but under the sales report the sales are attributed to him from today, we just did another one just to be sure and it still says $0 on the commissions.

Hmmm… I’m just throwing spaghetti at the wall here.  When you set up the commissions, what did you set as the effective date?  Honestly, if you could post some screen shots of your commission setup, that would be helpful.

Also, have you looked at the team member’s team record to be sure that the commission rates are showing up under their job & compensation section?

Appreciate the suggestions, I double checked those and the effective date was a week ago, I did a edit on the setup at 10% and set effective date to yesterday it says it re-calculates but everything still says $0.

(Note: the 0% is the two owners, not the one making the payments)

Looks like I’ve hit the limit of my suggestions.  Certainly quacks like a possible bug, so I’m tagging Community Moderators. @Summer2024 @_Violet

I hope you get this resolved soon!

Thank you if it helps the mods at all, the majority of items we sell is a Custom Item (which the price is typed up on each item based on its price tag), the item is a physical in type and is not blocked from tips or anything like that.

Thank you! Okay so this is what happened, I mistakenly placed "add custom amount" instead of the item created
"Custom Item" on the register short cuts. This is now fixed!

Thanks again!
