Is on demand pay still available in payroll?

Hello @jlc1 ! Welcome back to the Square Community!

As far as I know, it's still available as long as you're using a Square Checking account or existing balance for running your payroll.

When you're in the pay employees screen, once you import your hours and tips, choose the Now option:

Any employees with CashApp will see payments within 10 minutes of you submitting payroll, all other employees should see a direct deposit within 24 hours.

Hey thank you! I guess I'm a little unclear still, as it looks like this is the same as running payroll?

On demand pay would let employees access wages based on the current week's hours worked - separate from processing payroll. 

It was a setting you could turn on/off. 

I thought I remembered square may have gotten rid of it, but couldn't find much about it in support.

@jlc1 Ah yes, I do remember that being a thing a little while ago. I haven't heard anything about it recently so I think you're right that it isn't an option anymore.
