Clocking in/out - exempt certain team members

So we have recently started using the Square Staff and Payroll.

The first issue that I ran into was that sometimes some of our staff would get to the store early and it was busy enough to justify having them clock in earlier than scheduled. They were all using the app on their phone to clock in/out. When this situation would occur, then they would send me a text and I would update their time.

I am aware I can change the early clock in setting (which I now currently have set to 15 minutes) but I don't really want to allow clock ins this early without "manager" approval. It also does not solve the problem with trading shifts (again, I know that we should be enforcing a formal trade shift on the schedule .. but we're only a couple weeks in)

So my solution was to enable to clock in feature on the POS terminal, which I think will allow the manager to override. This is fine and acceptable solution for this.

The thing I would like to do though as well is to have certain Team members, such as myself or another owner, to not have to be prompted every time we try to use the terminal to clock in. Is there a way to set certain team members to not be prompted for clock in whenever they access the POS?

Thanks in advance

Hey @devneck.  Your solution to your first issue is, indeed, the best and actually only solution at the moment.

Otherwise, what you are requesting in the second issue is not possible.  However, once you have clocked in for the day you won’t have to again, or at least you shouldn’t have to.  I’ve found that it’s best to clock in that one time and be done with it for the day.  Then I can just sign out of the POS when I’m done.
