is there a way we can create customer accounts?

I own a business that specializes in pro-americas merchandise. One of our biggest attractors is the fact that we donate 15 percent of every sale to charities that support primarily military and police. I would like to create an option where customers can create an account so that I can associate their account with them being in the military so they can receive discounts on every item that they purchase. is this even a possibility?

Hi there @RTBNATION! Thanks for posting in the Community. 

Customers aren't able to create their own profiles, but you as the Seller can add them to your Directory. There's a notes field to enter their military status for reference. 

The only caveat is that the system isn't able to automatically apply the discount based on their profile info - you'll need to manually add the discount at checkout.
