Vector-based QR codes

Vector-based QR codes

I like the QR code feature, but we have printed materials that we're using them on and the .png file format for the image is poor. Even slightly upscaling the image makes it blurry and less professional looking.

It would be nice to have a QR code that is in a vector format so that it can be easily scaled. People are not always standing right in front of the paper, and may try to capture the code from a distance.

Besides usability, there is definitely an amateur-ish feel to grainy images. Thank you!

You're not alone in thinking that QR Code image is a bit out of focus.  It's only one size and in one format - png.  It would be nice to have a choice of file formats (.jpg, etc.) and better quality for sure.  My work around is to use another method, it's a few extra steps but, I get exactly what I need.  There are several sites on the internet that can generate QR Codes, this one is easy to use - I simply get the info from my Square Items and use the referenced site to creat...Feature Request to improve the quality and format of the Square generated QR Codes.  If enough peopl...

Sorry - my post got a little goofy and cut off but, I think you get my point !!!

@MagdaleneShores Just use something like QRCode Monkey and then download as an SVG.

(Update - just re-read @JK_Fiber_Art and took me a second but they've said the same too)

Appreciate those suggestions. It's still too bad Square doesn't offer vector-based QR "out-of-the-box" since it's just another manual step people have to take (and Square is losing some of it's own branding opportunity, I might add).
