If I have multiple clothing in square with variations such as small med large, do they all need different SKU's to sell online with Weebly? I have just been using the same SKU and hoping I do not need to go back and change all of the skus for different sizes.
Thanks
Hey @MSTAPLETON - you don't necessarily need to add a SKU for each size, but be sure to create variations for each of them on your site editor so inventory can be accurately tracked.
If we create the modifiers, we can see then in the preview and it shows the option for different sizes, but how can I update the inventory with each respective size? It only shows a general inventory number for that specific shoe we are selling.
For example, I am selling a pair of shoes that are blue, but the inventory only allows me to add inventory for those shoes, no matter the size (even though I have a modifier set for two different sizes). If I have 1 medium and 1 large, the inventory would be two. But if I go and try to make the purchase, it would allow me to buy 2 medium shoes even though I only have 1 (Since the inventory is a general number and it doesn't give me an option to select sizes) Is there another way?
Thank You!
You have to make each size a variation not a modifier. Then at the end of the sku we usually add the size like:
shoe7
shoe7.5
shoe8
etc. From there you can add a stock number to each variation but they have to have different skus.
I think that’s what you are asking
