I want to be able to make a group sale of 2-3 items into a special sale like a happy hour sale. So two separate items that typically sell as individual items but as a special two items are grouped together to make a sale.
For example: a cookie and a pint of milk sold as a grouped set special price.
Hey @marzalternative! Thanks for joining the Seller Community!
The only real way to accomplish that type of sale would be to create one item where the total includes the full price for, let's say, both a cookie and a pint of milk. You could call that item something like "cookie special" so it's easy to locate on your Point of Sale.
You can either have the discount already built in and make the price reflect it, or make it one price and create a discount button that you can use for that special item.
I hope this makes sense! Let us know if you have any other questions.
Thank you Nika_S
I thought of that but it would confuse my inventory. Say I buy said cookie and resale them. I buy 100 and they would be received the PO for the individual item. I sell one in "special" it would be a negative unless I manually change inventory for both. It makes the P&L for item inaccurate, right?
I was thinking best to have a discount that would be used for that special event/time of day.
You're right @marzalternative. The main inventory wouldn't adjust with items paired together like the workaround mentioned above. But like you say, you could definitely implement a discount to be used during those certain times of when you want to use it!
