Item Variations: Different Images

We would like the ability to have different images for item variations in Square for Retail. 

Use case: 

Stone heart: 

-Amethyst

-Citrine

-Obsidian

-Calcite

--Green Moss Agate

Picture for each variation.

@Lisa3002  This feature was delivered a year. When creating items and variations in your Item Library, you will see the option to add a picture to the variation. Then, your website will show the drop-down menu to select the variation, and the image will update.

This would be a really great idea since lot of items with different variation have different images when you can only assign only 1 image with 10 different variation of the item

@aarontw  I have watched the video in the link. Please elaborate how Item Options would provide pictures for each variation and/or option.

Having a picture for each Item Variation is still considered a Feature Request. You've posted this to the right place, so our Product Team can review.

Kudos for this request...I would find it extremely helpful as well.  I have an item called Puppet Buddies (hand Puppets of various animals) that has over ten variations.  I'd like my employees to be able to see a picture of the exact item they just scanned.

I want to thank everyone for their vote/post on the thread for this particular Feature Request for Item Variations. I've updated it to the "Reviewed" status. This step in the Feature Request process will be a time in which other sellers can add their use cases to your idea to make it stronger and demonstrate further how much it is needed. Later on, we'll re-visit the most popular feature requests in the "Reviewed" status and bring them to product teams.

So other sellers that see this feature, keep leaving likes and replies with a use case that your business would have. This will help to signal that this feature request is even more important to address

In this day and age I'm surprised something like this is still a request with square, but with thousands of skus and each having dozens sometimes hundreds of varieties or "options", it makes for a very unattractive and low sales e-commerce solution. I'm adding my request to have this feature request addressed sooner rather than later! Gas is over $5/gal, having a website/app that is not properly setup is effecting sales in a major way, pictures more than words make an immense selling difference rather than a grey and white generic pic you all provide in place. Other platforms that have this I can guarantee have more revenue as a result of each item, regardless of variety, having a beautiful pic next to it. PLEASE, according to the request background, this has been asked for over 4 years now.... @Kassi_

This feature is now available on Square for Retail and Square Online.

It's awesome that a customer visiting our site can select a variation in the drop-down menu and watch the image change to the corresponding variation.

@TCSlaguna I have been needing this feature. Can you explain how you got this to work as it does not seem to work on my site. Is there a setting somewhere for images to correspond to the selected variation in the drop down menu?

@TCSlaguna Yes, I have done this. I have uploaded images to variations. The website does show a drop down menu. But when the item is selected in the drop down, *all* images continue to show, not just the variation image.

@Lisa3002 That has to be a bug. I would give customer support a call to look into it.
