How to count ZERO stock during a cycle count?

When doing cycle counts, the least number of items I can count is 1. What do I do if I have none of a particular item?

Best I can do is remember or write down the Item that you were to count and Have zero of.  Continue to the next item that has 1 or more items.  Then when you are done with your Cycle Count, goto  your Items that have 0, Locate them in Square Items and update the Stock by doing a Recount, Damage, or Loss of item for the reason of the change and enter Zero as items in stock.
