Looking for an option to allow sales to keep coming in for items even if not stocked... I know just turn off Inventory.. but that isn't the issue...
I want customers to know that if an items is in stock they can get it today by coming to the brick and motor store... i.e. the overwhelming trend of shoppers searching online before heading our to pick items up ! I want to be able to let customer know that yes an items is instock Vs it is a special order only item ... in a perfect world I'd like to have it switch automatically just like it does for Out of stock.... A simple choice on the inventory to pick if we would want to display Out of stock or something else like "Special Order", "Special Order Only", "Online Only", or something similar. Don't need it to be a banner/flag option in fact wish it wouldn't be.... Just love to be able to compete on safe playing field and allow cusotmers to know when they shop if if it is "Available today , ie in stock" or if it is an "order only item"
I see this everyday when shopping with other site like the big boys Wal-mart, Best-buy, Home Depot, and many others.... Time to help the little guy and give us a better tool to compete ... PLEASE !
