We have done a % discount on gift cards for Small business Saturday in the past, which I know how to set up. I would like to offer egift cards, but with a bonus card to go with them. (As is very popular right not). Like buy $100 gift card, get $20 for you. Is there a way to create a promotion like this? Also, the bonus card should have an expiration date, and egift cards usually don't.
Any idea's? Thank you for your help.
I don't believe there is a way to set that up in eGift Cards. We do a similar promotion with our Zoo memberships during the holiday season. We offer a free $10 gift card with every membership sold. I ring up the gift card as usual and then have a 100% discount that I apply to bring the price to $0.00 for the customer.
Thank you so much. I thought about this. I was shooting for an electronic option, as I am trying to promote as a virtual promotion. I would also like the "bonus" cards to have an expiration date, which currently you can not put on a gift card
You could manually send them an eGift Card, by setting up a 100% off coupon code in the Gift Card Settings section of your Web Dashboard.
Any time you see a sale come in for an eGift Card of that amount, just copy and paste that email address into the eGift Card Ordering page, along with that coupon code, and you'd be good to go.
These wouldn't expire though.
The other alternative would be to do a Coupon through Square Messages / Feedback or Square Marketing, and that could have an expiration.
Thanks! I haven't used messages or marketing at all, so I did not realize that this was an option. I will look into it.
