Feature Request: Square Register - get a notification pop up when an order is received from online

Right now I know you get email notifications when an order is placed but it would be good to get a pop-up notification on Square Register when an sale is placed that way someone at a store location would get a push notification so they could pull it from inventory if need be. Ideally this would be an option to turn on or off.

We really need to have an audio alert for online orders on the Square App and Square Register! With the pandemic we have switched to only take-out/pick-up/curbside delivery and set up our Square online store. We set it up so tickets will print automatically to the kitchen, and it was working, but today, even with that setting on, a ticket didn't print! So we didn't have the food ready when they showed up to pick it up. If there was a noise of some sort it would help ensure we don't miss an order. We really really need this like yesterday!!! We are trying to push folks to our online store instead of using a 3rd party service we are signed up with to avoid the commission charges but when we miss an order and don't have it ready when they show up we look bad and next time (if there is a next time) they will probably go through the 3rd party service (they have an audio alert and you get a phone call). The emails that are sent aren't really that helpful, as we aren't looking at email 24/7 and the visible pop up on the app/register doesn't help because you don't see it if the screen is sleeping, and we aren't looking at them as often with decrease in business.

Our store would really love a pop up notification as well! Either audio or visual. Plus we'd like to see the part that the customer can add comments. Those are only coming through on the emails. Thank you.

There now is the option on Register for a pop up notification whenever an online order comes in!

Go to Settings, Online Orders, turn Order Alert Notification on

As for a better audio notification, we set up an iPad and downloaded the Weebly App which sends a notification (Sound and banners) anytime an order comes in.

We also set up an email filter to forward new order emails to a second email address that we have on that iPad, connected to a Bluetooth speaker so it rings anytime there’s a new order
