Convert Saved Cart to Invoice

I'm using Square for Retail. For some customers, I want to be able to let them buy/take something now but invoice them later. There should be a way to create a saved cart and then convert it into an invoice.

 

Or I should be able to create an invoice directly and scan the items into it at time of sale.

We would be interested in this feature as well. We frequently get customers calling in an order for pickup or shipping and it's helpful for staff to pick the order, scan it to the register, and save the cart and then for me to be able to email the invoice to the customer for them to pay before picking up. 

This please! In our NCR CounterPoint system, we can create A/R (Accounts Receivable) customers who are billed later.

 

The checkout process looks like:

- Customer brings items to the register

- Cashier does a customer lookup for the A/R customer or creates a new A/R customer

- Cashier rings them up using handy touchscreen buttons and scanner (not tedious search list)

- An additional payment type of "House Account" is available for use due to the categorization of the customer as "A/R"

- Cashier tenders the ticket with "House Account" payment type

- Customer signature is captured on touchscreen and customer leaves with their items

- At a later date, a report is run on A/R customers, and invoices are generated and sent to those customers (email, mail, etc)

 

This is very useful in the garden center industry where we often deal with landscapers, and other contractors who are allowed various payment terms or dated billing.

We would be very interested in this. For years we have offered "store credit" to certain customers (essentially house accounts). Where they get their items thoughout the month and then are billed at the end of the month for everything they accrued during the previous month. Using saved carts is a work around, but it is still not a great way to accomplish this. There should be a payment option specifically for store credit or house accounts. 

Yes, we need this. We create carts all the time for a customer to come in, purchase and pickup. Then they change their mind and want it delivered. 

This would be an EXCELLENT feature. Every time we do a stock count we have to go through our saved carts to see if items are in there as well and its caused us numerous problems with internet sales as products show as in stock when someone has already taken them. 

 

It would also be helpful at Christmas time as we have a layaway for toys and for customers to be able to 'pay down' their cart is something we already offer but cannot facilitate on square without stock control issues.

I would like this option as well.

Yes please! I assumed that a cart could be moved to an invoice and was very disappointed that I couldn't find it. I will have to enter all of the items again and then delete the cart.  Please please!
