Cash Management future turn off after reset with new App Version 6.38

Hi square team, please help with this issues ASAP. Cash management future is turning off after a reboot with App version 6.38. We have to manually enable it after every reboot from the Dashboard. 

 

We did a factory reset to App version 6.29 and problem went away. 

At least give us an option of preventing the Square register from automatic software update every night. This way we can roll back any problematic updates until we issue is resolved.

Hi there, @Newportwine - Thanks for bringing this to our attention. I'm sorry to hear that you're having some trouble with your Cash Drawer since updating to 6.38.

This sounds pretty similar to an issue Sellers reported in October, described here. This issue ultimately had to be fixed by our engineers. Have you already reached out to our Support Team about this?

For us this was fixed after releasing the updated firmware. 6.39. I had called support, they opened a ticket and fixed in within 2 days. it was quick actually. One thing you can do as a quick fix. (it worked for me) I usually do a factory reset in the morning, it took me back to older version. used it for the day and did a reset again the next morning. (my issue was resetting the cash drawer with any soft reboot)

Ok, I figured it out actually.  We needed to enable Cash Management in the Device Profiles section of our Dashboard.  Solved it for us!
