Can you use SQUARE POS with existing Clover Hardware system?

I currently use Shopkeep POS with Clover Hardware.  Can I switch to Square using same hardware and barcodes?

Square is its own software that runs on iPads and tablets.  It will not run on Clover's proprietary system.
