Can I create barcodes on my own (outside of square) and use them in square for retail?

Can I create barcodes on my own (outside of square) and use them in square for retail? or does the barcode need to be generated by Square?

I ask because the label size that I want to use for my barcodes isn't an option when I go to print a barcode from Square for Retail items.

Yes, you can! You can scan in inventory with existing barcodes.

Do you know if I can use Square to print barcodes on labels that aren't listed in the choices for printers and label sizes?

Yes, custom label size.

You wouldn't be able to customize the size within the Square Dashboard, but you can download the file of barcode labels and edit from there @privateeyes.
