I would like to subscribe for Square for Retail Plus, in order to get the inventory management features.
However, my staff prefers the simplicity of Square POS for ringing up transactions. Can we use square POS in the shop, and have it track to the inventory counts?
Thanks for your help.
Specific cases:
1. we sell a product in single cans and in 4 packs. We want to be able to have these variations track to a single inventory.
2. we also have two locations serving the same product and would like them to count to the same inventory. or at least to be able to transfer inventory between the two locations.
Heya @ggilmore,
You can definitely use Square for Retail for your inventory management purposes while continuing to use the Standard Point of Sale in-store. The inventory will still be tracked according to Retail, and you'll be able to use the dashboard to create composite items, run COGS reports, and more. Please let us know if you have any further questions, we're happy to help!
Composite items are: what I am talking about in #1 above? Inventory tracked to a total, that can be split into different package sizes?
This sounds like exactly what I need!
This article breaks down how to set this up step-by-step @ggilmore.
