Tip Sharing (tipouts)

We need a way to create tip sharing or tip outs! We are a counter-order restaurant and the servers currently tip out the bussers. The 2 servers each tip out the host and busser 5% of the tip pool, we need a way to weigh the tip pool. The servers would each get 45% of the pool, the host 5% and the busser 5% for example. We currently manually send tips to payroll, but would love this feature so it could be automated, hands off.

Hi @Shackfam505. There are feature requests in to Square to add this functionality. As of today, however, they have not announced any decisions to add it. If you need something immediately, I’d recommend going to the Square App Marketplace and search for “tips.” You’ll see third party apps (like TipHaus) that integrate with Swuare and provide exactly what you are looking for. Yes, they come with monthly subscriptions, but even if/when Square adds this functionality, I’m pretty sure theirs will, too.
