Online Restaurant Orderingf

We are a small coffeeshop and NA Bar that offers some small food items and bakery items. 

I want to start offering online ordering with in house pick up -- but I cannot for the life of me figure out how to put that on the online site.

 

Previously, I was using our online site for bottled drink pick ups (we do a lot of NA bottled drinks around the holidays), or links for our events.

 

But now I want our menu to be online -- with neat sections (like it appears so nicely on the POS layout) -- with Coffee, Tea, Lotus, Food, etc.

 

I need to be able to easily change quantities of what we have available as inventory changes so people can't order what we don't have. 

And we sometimes have rentals, where people won't be able to come in, and I want to be able to turn off the online ordering easily.

 

Is that all possible? If so, how?

We have lots of options here, I’m replying mobile but happy to write out some more details if you need them.  I just seen you need some help and wanted to get some info over.  

You’re able to customize your online menu and these can be different than the menus you have in store.  

To change your Order Online or Shop All layout, visit the Square Online website editor. From there, navigate to Order Online or Shop All > Item list > Customize > Layouts. 

Here is some further information on that as well.

 

I personally like the new multi location menu. Where you can simply create a menu like you do for in-house.  Then assign it to your online store.  Depending on when your account was created you need to join beta here

For the item availability I believe we need to turn on inventory tracking.  

 

To turn on inventory tracking for an item on Square, log in to your Square Dashboard, navigate to "Items & Orders" > "Items" > "Item Library", select the item you want to track, and then toggle the "Tracking" option on within the Variations section; this will enable inventory tracking for that specific item. 

At any time you can manually adjust the amount of any item.  Zero will show as sold out online.  

 

To stop selling everyone online you can pause web orders at anytime.  

To pause web orders in Square for a restaurant, open the Square Point of Sale app, navigate to the "Orders" section, and then access the "Order Timing" settings where you can choose to "Pause" for both pickup and delivery orders; this will temporarily stop new online orders from coming in until you choose to resume them.
