Support for square nfc/chip reader on Mi macs

I downloaded the new app for mac desktop but was disappointed to fund it did not support the nfc/chip reader for card processing. This means one has to pay the higher manual entry processing fee. One of the reasons I purchased a new 24 inch iMac and a new M1 based MacBook air is so I could run IOS apps on it. several apps(like the Wyze and Blink camera apps)  I used on my iPad and iPhone I can now run on M1 based desktops. Very useful. So this raised the question as to why the existing Square app was not ported to run on M1 based desktops and thus gain access to the reader just like connecting to it on iOS devices. This would result in a lower processing fees and also make an airlock a terminal at no cost.
