Can you use Square Terminal with a hub and the Square for Retail App on iPad?
I am looking for a solution to replace my Square Stand that would allow me to process cards, use a barcode scanner and cash drawer, and also connect to the Square for Retail App on an ipad with a keyboard. I understand that Square Terminal can connect to my hardware with the hub, and that it can connect to an iPad with the Square for Retail app, but can it do both at the same time?
An example: If I have Square Terminal connected to my iPad (standalone, not in a Square Stand) wirelessly through Square for Retail and I scan a barcode with a scanner connected to the Terminal Hub, will it be added to the cart on my iPad's screen, or does information only flow from the iPad to the Terminal, not the other way around? Thanks so much!

Hi @shortwaveastori. Before I answer this, let’s get some terminology and concepts cleared up.
When you connect a Terminal to Square for Retail, this is called a Connected Terminal. This turns the Terminal into a dedicated customer-facing payment device for your Square for Retail App. The connection between your iPad and your Connected Terminal is wireless/Bluetooth. You don’t need a hub, nor will a hub do what you want, in this case.
In order to continue to use a scanner, you would have to have some way to connect the scanner to Square for Retail. To get rid of your Stand, as I understand it, you would at the very least need a Bluetooth scanner, rather than a USB scanner.
