When someone purchases through the cashapp, where is the money going (to what bank account)? Who set the cashapp up and how can I verify the cashapp name?
@GreanCleanse If a customer pays with cashapp, the money is treated just like a credit card. It will be included in your daily transaction and deposited into your registered account bank account where all credit card monies go. You do not have to do anything extra including verifying any cashapp names.
As a bonus, square is 100% behind the cashapp, so when a customer pays with cash app you are fully protected for those transactions by square. When I take a cash app it is on my daily summary and I just add it to my credit card total along with cash for my daily accounting.
hope this helps,

Hey @GreanCleanse
@Are you talking about the new Pay with CashApp feature on Square POS & Square Online — where customers can use their CashApp accounts to make purchases with you?
If so, it’s just like paying with a credit card for you - their money comes out of their CashApp accounts and goes into your regular bank account. Nothing is different on your end here.
If it’s something else and you made a CashApp account to take payments, then you would have to check your own CashApp account to set up a bank account to link.
