Why did square discontinue certain parts?

Our square register customer display, usb hub, receipt printer, and cash drawer all stopped working at the same time. 
I have had no solutions from Square representatives and they have discontinued those parts I need. Their only solution is to buy a whole new system.  We only used it for 2 years. 
Bummed, disappointed and unsatisfied.

Hey @NamasteCafe I think I can help you with part of this.  Of course, no one here can explain why Square (or any company) does anything, so I can’t answer that.

 

I went to the Square Shop and found the following:

 

Replacement Toolkit for Square Register, which contains the USB hub and other replacement parts.

 

Replacement Customer Display for Square Register

 

Also, here is a link to Square Accessories.  You can filter this list to only display those that are Square Register compatible.
