I am using the Square Register with a Star TSP100III receipt printer in a retail environment. The printer ALWAYS prints receipts after I enter the money that the customer has paid. This happens irrespective of whether the customer selects to print the receipt or not on the customer display.
How do I disable this so that the printer only prints receipts when the customer (or I) request it?

For this issue you need to Setup a Printer Profile in your Square Dashboard.
I did this for my Receipt Printer Profile. One of the Settings is when to print a Receipt.
I think there are 2 choices, Automatically and Manually. When on Manual this only prints a receipt when you Press Printed Receipt option.

It is curious that once set up, there is no way to see - or change - this setting. I had to delete the profile and then add a new one with the setting for "manual". (or at least, I couldnt find a way to change the existing profile).
