New Square stand and barcode readers.

We just upgraded to the new square stand and when I was setting them up I plugged in our barcode scanners we have been using with the old square stand. When I plugged it in it came up scanner not supported. We have been using the Tera 5100 for a couple of years no with no problems. Has anyone encountered this? I don't think it would be the stand not recognizing it, it has to be a software update.

Their is a list of compatible hardware on the square hardware shop. We had a similar issue with our Bluetooth scanner when we went from square stand to square POS. A $300 Bluetooth device, useless in an upgrade. But the upgrade was worth it for us.

The Tera barcode scanners were never on the list, but the worked.  I have went back to my old Symbol scanners until I can get the tera scanners to work.
