Square EBT Integration

Since Square has now added scanner scale functionality, and square is trying to target the Grocery and Retail marketspace, EBT integration seems like a must. Square Sellers such as myself notice 5-7 customer walkaways per day due to non acceptance of EBT. Square has a nice platform to sell products and could be able to attract more customers if they stopped offering TotilPay(Poor Platform Experience) and should have direct EBT integration within their Point of Sale Directly. This would allow more sellers to adopt square as a point of sale, and would help sellers avoid customer walkaways due to that payment method not being accepted.

At this time, there are no plans for EBT Payment acceptance on our platform. In the past, we offered integrations that would allow Sellers to process EBT using partner hardware, however, we have discontinued this support. The main reason for this is that our platform is unable to separate EBT items vs non-EBT items and Sellers needed to process two transactions to be able to meet the needs of EBT.
