Issues with Contactless + Chip Reader taking payments

In the last 3 weeks my reader will not process credit cards when dipped. It will swipe and it will tap but will not process any credit cards that I insert. Please help if you have any idea why

As for your Contactless + Chip reader, I'm sorry to hear you're having some trouble with chip payments. I suggest trying the troubleshooting steps listed here

If you aren't able to resolve this issue by troubleshooting, please reach out directly to our Support Team for further assistance. They will also be able to escalate this issue to our Engineers and help you with a warranty replacement if needed.

The past couple days my Bluetooth contactless/chip reader has stopped reading chips when inserted. Keeps saying couldn’t read, try inserting again. The contactless tap option still works fine. And for non-tap cards I still have a swipe reader that works.

 

I have tried the troubleshooting guide and turned everything off and reset and re-paired reader and iPad. No luck.

 

I’ve been using this reader for a few years with no issues. Is there something else I can try? Or do the internal contacts just wear out overtime and stop working?
