I wanted to share a recurring challenge I've faced using Square's inventory and invoicing system, hoping to gain insights from the community or bring attention to what seems to be a glitch.
In my business, we frequently deal with issuing both recurring and manual invoices, this for item ""Iron Will Raw Turkey & Beef Canine Complete Dinner 12 lb variation." There are instances where I need to cancel invoices due to various reasons such as customers being on vacation. However, I've noticed an odd behavior in the system where cancelled invoices still seem to hold onto the inventory, as if the invoice were still active on occasion.
Here's an example of the situation I encountered, at issue here is where inventory is still committed on an invoice that no longer exists. The system appeared to treat this invoice as unpaid, impacting my inventory count despite the cancellation.
This isn't an isolated incident but a recurring issue that seems to happen sporadically. It doesn't occur every time, making it difficult to replicate systematically. I primarily manage these invoices through the Android Square app (not the dedicated invoices app), which might be worth considering if looking into potential causes.
I'm reaching out to see if anyone else has experienced this issue or if there are recommended steps I could take to prevent inventory discrepancies due to cancelled invoices. Any advice or shared experiences would be greatly appreciated!

One invoice is unpaid, one is cancelled (i believe) or paid, it doesn't exist anymore

Luckily this has not happened
on my dashboard.
Have you tried logging out cleaning cache and cookies and then log in again?

@JTPets, have you encountered the same results when trying another computer and operating system?
Yes, as stated, this is a "stuck" invoice that no longer exists, no matter what device I am on this inventory shows as committed
