Use Industry Standard Shopping Cart Language

Use Industry Standard Shopping Cart Language

Topic is Pre-Orders in the Food Sector

Goal: Allow the customer to select their own pick-up time when checking out using industry standard shopping cart language in the prepared food industry. The picture illistrates the check-out screen for pre-order of hot and ready food.

1. The system auto select a time for them
2. To change it, you select the small "edit" across from How To Get It which is a mismatch of language and action.

Problem:  Square automatically selects their pick-up time! It appears they are being forced to pick their dinner at 9 a.m.  How do they change it?  The shopping cart language should read "Select your own pick-up time or Change your pick-up time." Instead it says "How To Get It" with a very small "Edit" button. The lack of common demoninator shopping cart language and direction raises confusion.

Feature Request: . Allow us to change the name "How to get it" to a suitable title that funnels a customer to do exactly what action says, "Select your Pick-Up Time." Selecting a pick-up time is industry standard language. Also, allow us the option under "fulfilment" not have the auto generated time selected (i.e. dinner pick-up at 9 a.m.). but keep the time option of allowing only so many orders per time slot. Example 500 pizzas for 5:00 is an uncontrolled order option.

Feature Request Pre-Order #2: On the check-out screen have 2 options:

1."Pick-Up days Available"

2. and let the customer select their "Pick-Up time."

Allow only so many pick-up at 10 min intervals or 15 etc.. This is a process that uses action and language that is standard in food ordering.

Thank you for your time.
