Sub Categorys Don't Show Under Their Category Page

I have three category pages on my home page. Two of them correctly show all their subcategories just fine. The third one only shows a couple of 'items' but not the subcategories I made for it. I have selected the appropriate pages that I wanted to be subcategories, but for some reason they aren't appearing under this one particular category page. I've tried editing it from every place I could think of, and I still can't get this fixed.

I'm new to Square/Weebly but not new to designing a site, but I can't figure this one out!

Anyone know how to fix this?

Solution

After poking around some more, I found out where the glitch was. Apparently, when you set up a  category page, if you choose individual items to include in the category, it won't display any sub-categories. It's one or the other. Don't know why, but that's how it's working. So I removed the individual items from my "Astronaut Art" category and placed them into some sub-categories, and now the sub-categories show up just fine on my "Astronaut Art" category page and the individual items are listed correctly within them.

Here is a link to my shop, https://tharsis-artworks.square.site/
And here are a bunch of screen shots to try to describe what's happening. This is my home page with 3 categories.

my site's home pagemy site's home page
If you go to the Planetary Landscape Art page, all the sub categories show up correctly:
subcategory correctly displayssubcategory correctly displays

But if you go to the Astronaut Art category, only 3 items show, and none of the subcategories, even though the subcategories can be seen in both navigation menus:

Only 3 items showing on pageOnly 3 items showing on page

The subcategories are also correctly listed in the editing menu:

So as you can see, the subcategories of "Astronaut Trio", "Astronaut Moon", "Astronaut Earth", "Astronaut Mars" and "Tumbling Astronauts" are not showing up on the page, just three things that are 'items' and not subcategories.

I don't know what I haven't done right to get this page to display correctly like the other ones have!

HI, thank you for the link and screenshots.  That is odd.  When you are on the Online Dashboard Categories screen can you compare PLA category to the AA Category and see what may look different?

I did try comparing, and it appears it's all set up correctly, just that for some weird reason those categories won't show on the page.
