I'm setting up shipping rates with the "Based on the number of items" option. I want 1 item to cost $15 for shipping, 2 items to cost $20, 3 items to cost $28, etc. However, the form requires both a min and max value for a given rate, and the max must be greater than the min.
So instead of being able to say 1 item is $15 shipping, I have to enter 1-2 items is $15. I can then say 2-3 items is $20, but what happens when the user orders 2 items?
What I really want to do is say exactly 1 item (min 1, max 1) is $15. And exactly 2 items (min 2, max 2) is $20. And so forth. But the form won't allow the min and max values to be the same.
What's the right way to do this?
Thanks in advance!
When you set it up the 15.00 shipping would be 0-1 item, 20.00 would be 2-3 items,
You can go to Online/Fulfillment/Shipping. Then click shipping profiles and set it up in Rates.
Below is how we have ours setup
When you setup Rate rules Square reads our as
o min to 1 max item is 5.00
2 min. to 3 max goes to 6.00
3 min.to 4 max goes to 7.00
4 min. to 5 max goes to 8.00
5 min. to 6 max. goes to 9.00
after 7 items it's a flat rate of 10.00
So if someone buys 3 items it will automatically go to the next column which would be 7.00. I know it sounds confusing and I would like to see just a straight forward 1 item, 2 items 3 item, etc. But this way has worked for us for years.
Below is photos of how I have mine set up. Hope this helps

Yes - that is very helpful, thanks. I was just testing it, and I see that it behaves as you said. Seems that if a certain count is included in a higher rate, it defaults to that higher rate. I appreciate the detailed, helpful response.
Thank you, Glad it's working for you now. When I first set ours up, I was skeptical of how Square had it setup, but it works.
