Setting the default way to sort products on a page

Currently, product pages are automatically sorted by "Featured", and there is no way to manually set which sort option the page starts with, such as Alphabetically or by price.

For a better user experience, I am requesting this feature to allow us to control how pages are sorted when a user first enters a product page.

Hey there, @TressasC . I’ve gone ahead and changed the status of this feature request to “Open”. You provided a great assessment on the potential business use/need for something like this on our platform from a seller’s perspective. This is a useful tool for our Product Team to use as they build the future of our products. As more information becomes available, a Community moderator will come in and change the status letting all of the subscribed sellers know.

As a comic shop, we are adding new products every week and would like to sort by "Newest" by default. I have found a partial workaround, using external links to link to the page with the sort options on the URL.

Adding this after the category page URL will allow you to load the page with these options: 

?page=1&limit=60&sort_by=created_date&sort_order=desc

However, if the built-in side navigation is used then it will default to "Featured". I would VERY much like to see this option added.

It would be really helpful to be able to set the default sorting option! Or at the very least, let me determine what "most popular" means for my store.

This needs to be added. It's sad that it's only available on the "Shop All" page, and not ALSO on the category pages. The functionality appears to already be there, just need to finish it off!

I also suggest that the ability to change the default filter needs to be able to adjust all categories at once, or like a bulk edit. Our site has 100+ categories, so going one by one would be ungodly tedious.
