Order confirmation email pickup instructions are wrong

About two weeks ago the pickup instructions that both the customer and I get after an order is placed is wrong. It is showing instructions that I entered 2 years ago. When I go and delete the current instructions and enter new ones it still reverts to old out of date instructions even though it looks like everything is saved properly. 


if I click on the “View order details”  in the email it will take me to squares site for the order and it will reflect accurate information. It is just the automated confirmation emails that are wrong. 

I have spend about 1.5 hours on the phone with square and have gotten nowhere so if anyone could shed light on what may be going wrong I would be delighted to find out.

Same issue here.  Square reverted back to how it was a few years ago for online orders of Physical items where it display the message "Your order will be ready for pickup"

 

This will confuse my customers as to thinking there items are ready to go.  I read thru all the Item Type options and see where Other might be better suited but I cannot test it or easily change the Item Type with bulk edit.

I'm having a similar issue. I have been having trouble getting order notifications to my business email, but not my personal. While troubleshooting this I did a test order and found out that the customer's confirmation page has old pickup instructions on it. The email confirmation has the correct, current instructions. When you click on "View order details" in the email, it takes you back to the customer's order confirmation page with the wrong instructions. I have no idea how long this has been a problem since I only see the email confirmations which are correct. I have also spent about 2 hours trying to find somehow to fix this but have not found a solution. The pickup instructions field in the fulfillment settings are correct.

Right after I posted my problem it clicked where the issue was from. Years ago (2021) I had my pickup orders set to "Calculate & assign pickup times automatically: NO" for a specific sale I was running. When I did this, I had a different set of pickup instructions. When I changed it back to "Calculate & assign pickup times automatically: YES" at checkout, there is a new field for pickup instructions which is up to date. I changed the setting back to NO and there was the old message that was showing up on the customer's confirmation page. I changed it on that screen to the current, correct instructions. By doing that, it updated all the instructions for automatic/not automatic pickups and automatic/ not automatic deliveries. No clue why. But anyways, by changing that and then changing back to automatically scheduling pickups, it is now corrected. 

 

In short: Go to your fulfillment settings, check the field that says "Calculate & assign pickup times automatically" and check the instructions field for both the "Yes" and "No" options. You probably have an old set of instructions on one of the options.
