My square chip reader worked fine one day and just quit connecting the next.
Has anyone else had this problem? It was reading fine Friday when I left work and when I come back on Tuesday nothing. It will not connect to any device. It is very frustrating. When I have to put in the numbers we all know they are charging us more for this. I am about to find a new source for cards.

Hi @BJsHaircessitie. Sorry to hear about your problem.
I’ve included a screen shot below with steps to factory reset your reader. Usually this fixes connection issues. Hardware like this can sometimes blow its brains out and need to be reset. That’s why Square included a factory reset option. Read the entire procedure first, then go back and take it step-by-step.
Hopefully this works for you and then you can get back to the business of business. Good luck in your search for a new card processor. I hope you find what you are looking for.
