Item page customizations

Hello,

Is there an app or other way to add a section to ALL item pages (not individually editing them)? Specifically, we want to be able to have a section for each item that has details on the maker. Like this seen here where it says 'About The Maker': https://www.uncommongoods.com/product/book-nook-reading-valet

Shopify has this ability – you can define a custom meta field and then it shows up whenever you create or edit an item, and you can customize where it shows up on the item page.

Hi there @MPDC.  I had to fire up my editor and check to be sure.  Unfortunately, while changes to the standard sections (header, item details, similar items and footer) of an item page will be made for ALL ITEMS, any new sections added to an item page only apply to that item.  There’s even this “warning note” on the item editing page — “Add individual sections. Changes only apply to this item page.”

That means that, currently, all you can do is head over to the Ideate Board and submit a feature request to the Square Online team.  If you do this, please come back here and post a link to your submitted request.  I, for one, will review it and add my upvote, as well as my comments.  I’d love to see a boiler-plate item template that included more flexibility in item presentation.
