Admittedly this is an odd use-case but we use Square for a live event. VIPs can use a private website (via Square Online) to order and our 'runners' to go the on-site store to pick and pack for them. The problem however is that by the time the runner gets there the item may already be sold out.
What I'm looking to do is build some cushion between the physical inventory and what is allowed to be sold online. So if I have 10 of something I may only want to make 7 available online until it shows sold out.
Has anyone come across a way to do this but still keep the overall inventory synced? Thanks in advance!
On any of your items, you can click on it to the item. You'll see near the very bottom where the pricing of the item is, is the in stock section where you can manage your stick to show online!
Thank you! It seems like the issue is still that if I change that stock number it's going to sync to the overall Item Library and change the stock that's all available in the physical store? Snapped a shot of the way it's worded.
I see what you mean, I believe this only reflects to your stock listed on square and you would still need to know what you physically have on hand. If you are just wanting to update the number I would put it under an inventory recount so you aren't adding or subtracting any actual inventory. Just recounting it on square. Hope this helps!
