I’m a little bit confused. I’m a brand new user and was sent my first payment via credit card and clicked to instantly transfer it to my account. After putting in my banking info I was informed that instant transfer is unavailable at this time. Which is annoying but whatever. Well I go back to my balance and see that it’s gone. It went from $766 to zero. Does that mean the instant transfer went through? Cuz I’ve checked with my bank and it most certainly has not gone through. Now I’m nervous about where that money is!

Sorry to hear about your issue with transferring, being a new seller. Have you looked into your Balance transfers o see if it was triggered to send normally (1-2 business days) since instant was not available? From your Dashboard got to Balance > click on your Location then you should see a list of recent transfers below that. If you do not see your transfer listed you may need to call into support so they can have a look since we don't have access to your account here.

New users may see a delay in funds transfers while Square does some due diligence on your business. There are a lot of background verifications that need to happen to make sure your business is legit. It can take 3-5 business days to start to receive your transfers. This is also why you see the alert that Instant Transfers aren't available to you yet.
As you continue to process sales and Square completes their checks, you'll start to see your transfers appear a lot more quickly and Instant Transfers will be available for you.
