I do not want to offer online ordering at my cafe early in the morning or during busy periods when I have a line of people waiting in the shop. How can I alter my online store hours so that I only accept orders during certain times?
Go to your Weebly/Online Store editor and click on Pickup and Delivery. Then, choose your location and click on the hours section. You can then change your online hours for each day of the week or if you need to turn online ordering off in the middle of the day, you can click the + button and add different online hours within the same day. My Customers are still able to place orders during non-business hours. Then those orders are on my queue for the next business day. This needs to be fixed badly.
@Jsr have you looked at time-based categories on Square Online? When you set this feature up, customers are only able to place orders during the times you choose, though they can continue to see your items outside of those hours. Let us know if this addresses your use case.
I too own a restaurant & utilize online ordering. If customer places order after online ordering schedule time, it throws order into next day. I don’t want to have to turn it on & off daily, nor do I want to do it for specific items as I offer full menu 11am - 9pm. Did you find a fax for this?

At this time the options available are either Turning off "Accept Orders" or setting up "time-based categories"
If none of these work for you then this would be considered a Feature Request. I will pass your feedback over to our Square Online product team for their visibility and consideration when working on future updates.
I have set it to time based, however that then makes my menu completely invisible until I open the following day. If you could pass feedback onto product team to set up some kind of timer on the Accept Orders tabs, that way the menu is still visible but the online ordering is closed, that would be helpful.

While this feature hasn't been released yet, the Square Online team is working hard on making order accepting easier to toggle. At this time, Seller may enable and disable their website's order acceptance from Square Point of Sale and set a time to reactivate again.
