Hello! Every other week, I will be featuring rad sites built using Square Online by sellers like you. It’s a great way to pick up tips that you can incorporate into your own site!
This week we’re going to take a look at the online store @JoeTend created for Tend Greenpoint, an urban garden shop located in Brooklyn, NY.
I’ve mentioned this in previous featured site posts, but it bears repeating. If there’s a single thing to focus on which will make your website look professional, it’s branding. What does that look like? It means having a consistent and defined style that incorporates colors, fonts, and phrases.
In the images above, you can see that the font used in the logo pairs nicely with title fonts. The same color palette is used in both images and section backgrounds.
Next, I want to highlight the holiday gift guides. Carefully curated buying guides like these are important because they make the case of why someone should purchase from you. Not only do customers get another chance to see your awesome items, but you get the chance to tell them why they should buy them.
And best of all, gift guides are something that you can do for any occasion - you can utilize these all year round!
Finally, if you look at the site navigation you’ll notice that it includes a link to a Plant FAQ, or “frequently asked questions” page.
Something to consider when you build your online store is reducing customer effort. Your customers will inevitably have questions about your items, your fulfillment, or anything else that might be related to your business.
What do you think? Let me know in the comments below! Let me know if you have a site you want to nominate - just send me a private message (hover over my username, then click on the button in the popup to send a message)!

Oh wow! Thanks for the feature @AdamB! Glad our site is up to snuff.
It's a great site! I'm glad you shared it on the feedback thread. 🙂
Hi @AdamB! I hope you’re well. Since you took the time to share our website a while back, I figured I’d pop here to ask for your help. There is a very long thread from folks who are having trouble with proper inventory updates on their Square Online accounts. My online inventory has been wrong since about 8/30/24. We can’t seem to get any serious response from support or the message boards. As I know you understand the value of a good, reliable website, maybe you have some strings to pull to get some attention on this? I’m willing to chat if someone wants to reach out!
Hi there, @JoeTend!
My name is Summer, and I am one of the Seller Community moderators.
Thank you for flagging this here. I definitely understand the value of a good website that is functioning as intended.
Can you list some specific issues going on? I know that is kind of a loaded question at this point. I just want to make sure we're handling this in the most efficient way possible to get your inventory updating properly on your website and other sellers' websites.
I will be on the lookout for your response!
hello Summer. Thanks for the reply.
First, here is a link to the other thread: https://www.sellercommunity.com/t5/Square-Online/Online-Website-item-quantities-not-syncing-with-Squ...
Next, from personal experience, the issues here started somewhere in late-August. I noticed it first on 8/31/24 after some Purchase Orders that I received in Square Dashboard didn't update inventory properly.
If you take a look at the thread I mentioned at the top, you'll see many others related similar issues, from items not shwoign up on their site to items not falling off when sold through. At this point, we bring up the issue and sometimes days later someone will ask us if it's still an issue. We say it's still an issue and days later someone will apologize and again ask if it's still an issue. Cycle continues with zero clarity if anyone understands that the issue is really an issue.
We really need this corrected especially going into the holiday season.
Thank you
Great looking site and Easy to navigate @JoeTend .

It's a lovely site. Is it built totally on Weebly?
