Cannot sort by price or 'Add' date, cannot select more than 250 items, ship weight is not on order

Hello all,

As the title says. I cannot sort by price, I cannot select more than 250 items, I cannot change the default display to collapsed rather than open, the weight has been removed from submitted orders.

If I want to set a sale price, or multiple prices based on current listed price, I cannot because I can't sort by price

If I want to sort by which items have been in my inventory the longest to perhaps blow them out of inventory, I cannot because I can't sort by the date the inventory was added

If I want to bulk change my inventory in any regard, I can't because I can only select 250 items.

Categories are an impractical sort option

Why is the default display for items set to open and not collapsed? At lease give us the option, please.

The ship weight has been removed from orders. Why? Carriers require the weight so now I'm left with manually opening each item and adding the total.  This needs to be added back ASAP.

If there's solutions I'm missing, please let me know as I don't claim to know everything.

Thank you,

Did you try Exporting your Catalog asa csv then viewing it with a spreedsheet Program?

With the Spreedsheet you can sort by any column you choose.  You can also bulk update the data in the Spreedsheet then reimport to Square.  The only thing I am not aware of is the Sale price Field over Regular price columns for Items, this is because I use Retail and nothing is online through Square.  You can also bulk update items over 250 and you can sort by Price, Sale Price or whatever you choose that is a listed Header column.

Square has a Bulk update limited to 250 items, why this number I am not sure of.  The other nice thing with Spreedsheets is lets say you have 10,000 items and want to put your 500 items from $15 sale price to a $10 sale price, Sort Sale Price column, scroll down to your 500 items that show $15 for a price, enter $10 for the top items sale price, then drag that down to the last item you want priced at $10.   Save it as UPDATED something or other, Then Change other items you want to.   Then when everything Looks good save the csv angain as the Newly created UPDATED name.  Log back into Square on that computer, goto Items and Upload the Newly saved UPDATED csv file.   Once it is completed uploading all your changes should show up as you expect.  I find this quicker as you are not continually saving each page in Square for every Item you change or update.

Depending on what you sell sometimes categories are good way to sort so similar items are grouped together to edit the price.  I have items that have similar prices but are in completely different categories.  Take my Jar candles at $20.99 and some Taper or Pillar candle Holders that may also be $20.99.  If I sort by price they might be mixed in the Items if I sort by Price alone and edit the price lower to blow out my jar candles.  So if I sort by Category in the csv file, all my Jar candles of X size are together to have their price changed.  The candles holders are in other categories so they would not be mixed in the sorted by category csv file.
